I have an announcement for the community...which will likely amuse the majority of you.

I'm here to inform you all that our young companion Shinji Matou - or however you may refer to him - has taken a...vacation of sorts, thanks to a little handiwork from yours truly.  I don't know if he will necessarily be able to come onto the community in the next few weeks.  But the ladies of this community may rest assured, he will be unable to offend them during that time.

As you may or may not have noticed, I made a post for Edgeworth's birthday party in the events comm! I meant to get it up earlier since the family unit virus is happening on the 26th, but I am made of fail today and didn't get it done quickly enough. ;-;

Obviously it's post-dated to tomorrow at 6PM. It's divided into two threads--before and after--just so I can keep things organized. I hope it doesn't confuse anybody!

i have been, my friends, on a marvellous vacation. i went back to my native territory of emilia-romagna, and ate a lot of pastries. from there i visited austria (they have parties for mozart!) and poland and hungary and then, yes, parts east, because - well, i keep my ear to the ground more oft than not. it's prudent. the rumour mill was spinning rather madly, and i decided to see if i could unearth the truth behind the tales -

- it seems to be stories only now. 'now' being the operative word. there was a bit of an oddment with a fellow who claimed to be the old bat, but wasn't really, i think he was some manner of phantasm - either way a decent sort once you got past the gesticulation and yammering on and ceremonial bollocks that most wraiths must go through. song and dance, song and dance. he looked as bored by it as i felt, poor fellow.

but i digress!

rumours or no - do please warn me if you note anything amiss? there may be an ill wind blowing - or I may just be downwind of someone wearing too much cheap cologne. we shall see in time, i suppose.

Um...hi again, DDD. It's been a while since I posted to this community last. Things are busy at work. Zero...how can you keep this up? How can you sit back and watch so many lives being lost? You expect me to join you, when you so willingly throw away the very thing you're supposedly fighting for? I could never do it. Why can't you see how wrong this is? I guess it's work I want to talk about...

There's this person I work with. She's my superior, a commanding officer. But...we have feelings for each other. I've tried hiding these feelings, because we work together, but she's....well, she's apparently not very good at that. She's naive and idealistic and I can't believe I'm calling her all those things like they're bad because they're exactly what I love about her I'm worried that if I act on this then it would end badly for both of us. I don't think these feelings would affect how I do my job, but...I don't want this to hurt her. What if I die fighting this war? There are some complications greater than just our status at work. It's more of a social thing, I suppose...race and class...

Anyway, community, what would you do in my place? Would you sacrifice your feelings for your job? Or would you let everyone counting on you down for the sake of one person's love?
